Eren Lanett Hawkins Beasley, age 89, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Carolina Caring in Catawba County. She was born on Saturday, May 11, 1935, in Haleyville, Alabama, to her parents Arthur Allen Hawkins and Ella Kate Broome.

Throughout her life, Eren cultivated an array of hobbies and interests including reading, solving puzzles, and playing cards. These pastimes brought her immense pleasure and relaxation. Her fondness for nurturing her loved ones through delicious meals was undeniable.

Eren was a dedicated wife for 72 years to her beloved husband Bobby E. Beasley. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Eren is survived by her sons Anthony E. Beasley (Donna) and Jeffrey N. Beasley (Karen). Her family further extends to include grandchildren: Christina Dalton (David), Shannon Beasley, Lauren Tollise (Jim), and Jared Beasley (Anna). Additionally, she leaves behind six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard S. Beasley, brothers, Robert L. Hawkins, Jasper E. Hawkins, Paul M. Hawkins, James T. Hawkins, and Arthur A. Hawkins Jr.

To honor and celebrate her life, a visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Service on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 11:00 am to 11:45 am. The funeral service will be Saturday, June 29, 2024, in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel at 12:00 pm. Burial will be in the Salisbury National Cemetery. Rudy Hollingsworth will officiate.

Eren Lanett Hawkins Beasley will forever be remembered for her warm heart, culinary talents, and unwavering love for those around her. In every meal shared and every game played together as a family, her spirit will live on eternally in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Hal L. Bond, age 80, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024, at Taylorsville House in Alexander County. He was born to the late Stanley L. And Eleanor Browan Bond on Friday, February 4, 1944, in Fort Dix, New Jersey. Hal was a teacher for 20 years in Burke County and worked in general construction.

Hal is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lucille Connolly Bond, and one sister, Linda Bond Gore.

There are no services planned at this time.
